FAQ: pricing, access, timelines and app ownership

Useful answers before you share access, commission a Scan or plan a Production Upgrade.

These answers provide the common reference points before a first conversation. For the details of the offers, see the Scan, the Production Upgrade and the Rebuild. For how we work (access, NDA, GDPR, handover of the keys), everything is on the method page. And if you're still building, start with the basics checklist. For a repository produced with an agent, also see the AI-generated code audit. For a project still being built, explore our coaching as a Lovable expert in Belgium. To locate the transition point, read our guide to the six signals that justify an audit.

The questions we keep hearing

I just want to leave my platform and get my code back, do you do that?

Yes. We first inventory code, data, accounts, files, server functions, secrets and deployment. Current tools export a growing share of this system, but not always in a form that runs elsewhere without work. We migrate or reconfigure what needs to move under your control.

My project comes from Lovable, Claude Code, Codex or Antigravity. Can you handle it?

Yes. For a platform, the Scan connects code with data, accounts and services. For Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity or another agent, the Takeover Index scores 10 repository criteria out of 20. In both cases, we assess the observed project, not the tool's reputation.

How much does it cost?

The Scan starts at €1,800 excl. VAT, as a fixed fee delivered in 72 working hours. It is deducted from a subsequent Production Upgrade. Further work is quoted by workstream after the findings are known.

How do you protect access to my app?

We request the minimum access level, read-only for the Scan whenever the platform supports it. An NDA is available and no change is made without written approval. Engagement data is processed in Belgium under the GDPR.

I don't have a developer. Will I understand anything?

Yes. The report separates the technical finding, its impact on the project and the recommended action. It is readable without a technical background and usable by the developer carrying out the work.

Are you going to tell me to throw everything away and start over?

No. The Scan documents the findings: usually we repair, sometimes we rebuild. Each conclusion is tied to observed evidence and estimated cost. When your app holds up, the report confirms that too.

When should a project move from vibe coding to a more structured approach?

It does not mean stopping the use of AI. The change becomes useful when another team must take over, estimates become unpredictable, the app carries commitments or a third party asks for assurance. AI can remain part of a more structured engineering workflow.

How long does a complete production launch take?

The Scan takes 72 working hours. A typical Intervention counts in weeks, not months: the quote specifies the duration workstream by workstream. A complete Rebuild is planned in delivered stages, with a usable version at each stage.

My app is already live with users, can you work without downtime?

Yes, that's the normal way we work: we operate on a copy of your app, we test, and we switch when everything is verified. Your users keep their accounts and never see the construction site.

Do you also build new features?

Yes. vibebusters is operated by KERN-IT, a Belgian custom software agency. We can develop a feature, deliver a complete application or support you while you build with Lovable. For an existing app, the Scan is useful when its condition needs to be measured before work continues.

Can you support me while I build with Lovable?

Yes. This is a coaching and consulting engagement: you keep control in Lovable and make the changes. We help frame the work, formulate requests and understand the available choices, without changing or extracting your application. Delivery by our team is a separate engagement.

Do you work with clients outside Belgium?

Yes. The team is based in Belgium and works in French and English, remotely. Data stays processed in Belgium, under GDPR, wherever you are.

What if I just want a quick opinion, without a Scan?

The first exchange is free and without commitment: you show us your app, we give you an initial opinion. If three pieces of advice are enough, you leave with them. The Scan only makes sense if your project needs a full assessment.
