No credible price can be inferred from the platform name alone. Two Lovable or Bolt apps may require very different work depending on code, data, integrations and service expectations. 1. The state of the generated code
Two apps built on the same tool can be in very different states: the one guided by precise prompts and tested as it evolved, and one changed without regression checks. The first may need a few adjustments, while the second may need broader work. Only a code review can tell them apart.
2. How attached it is to the platform
The GitHub repository may be straightforward to take over, while data, users, secrets and deployment follow separate mechanisms. Lovable may use Supabase or Lovable Cloud, Base44 now exports code, functions and collections on eligible plans, and Bolt can rely on several services. Our GitHub export guide maps those components.
3. The launch's ambition
"Ten friendly beta testers" and "national ad campaign" don't require the same level of robustness. Baseline security is non-negotiable in both cases, but load resilience, advanced monitoring and high availability are sized according to expected usage, not a theoretical ideal. Stating your ambition means not paying for someone else's.
4. The compliance required
Obligations depend on the data, purpose, processors and sector. Health, finance and services for minors add specific constraints. The requirement should be qualified with the relevant specialists before compliance work is priced.
Why we don't publish a single price for the Production Upgrade
Because it would lie in one direction or the other: too expensive for the app that just needs three access rules, too low for the one that must migrate several services with 10,000 users. Instead, the Production Upgrade quote is split workstream by workstream, each with its price: you see what you're buying, you choose the order, you can spread it out. And the Scan you already paid is deducted from the total.
How to reduce the budget
- Handle the accessible checks yourself. Several points in the launch checklist do not require coding: account ownership, visible journeys, backups and alert contacts.
- Start with the Scan, not with the work. Paying €1,800 to know before paying to do is the order that protects your budget. And if there's nothing to do, you stop there.
- Spread out the workstreams. Security first, migration next, comfort after: your app can leave the red zone this month and become independent next quarter.

The assessment comes before the budget
Compare the budget with a defined outcome: reducing a documented risk, enabling a handover, supporting new usage or meeting a contractual requirement. A correction with no immediate objective can wait. A dependency blocking the next milestone needs a measurable scope.
